Thank you so much for all the encouraging messages!

I went for my first bloodtest last friday...and it was a BFP!!!
I'm trying to take it easy now (had some spotting and cramps) but I'm trying to stay positive and hoping everything will work out!
Praying that the cramps and spotting will go away soon!!! My dr advised some bedrest and I will do a sonar when my betas rise up to 1000.
By my DH was very nice and said he will give me the money for it. The other great thing about my spectacles is that it is anti-glare, so you can actually see my eyes!

My eyes still needs to get used to it, I can feel that. But it is really great to have spectacles I really like!

So, on Saturday morning I took a home pregnancy test and it came out positive. The line was a bit broken but was there nevertheless and a fairly strong line.
Yesterday morning I woke up feeling a bit different, like the energy was gone from my belly (KWIM?). I have been battling a cold since Monday and yesterday it developed into full-blown flu... last night was a constant battle with my nose and maintaining a constant body temperature. I went off to the doc first thing today and asked him to do a blood test to confirm pregnancy because my gynae can only fit me in in two weeks time. Since I have been very feverish over the last 24 hours I was prepared for a negative result, but now that I have got it (blood test: negative) I am questioning it. I still have not had a period, LMP was Aug 2nd.
Anyone had a similar experience? I will be keeping my gynae appointment in two weeks time and I have another hpt to do in the morning.

Hi Mommies Members,

I hope you all well.

I would like to make mention of a service which I have been offering for quite some time, which will benefit anyone who is looking to buy property at bargain prices (or sell property for that matter).

I have been specializing is sourcing Below Market Value and Positive Cash Flow property from motivated / distressed home owners around South Africa. For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about:

Below Market Value (BMV) – buying a property BMV refers to paying less than the seller could reasonably expect to receive on the market value, giving the buyer instant equity from day one. i.e buying a property worth R650 000 for R300 000

Positive Cash Flow – when the income (rental) of the property you buy covers all the expenses (bond repayment and levy / rates) and leaves a surplus giving you extra income from day one.

A perfect example would be buying a property for R300 000, which is actually worth R650 000 and renting this property out to tenants. The rent covers the bond, levys, all property expenses and puts R1000 positive cash flow into your pocket every month.

I have successfully built a property portfolio of 30 properties using the above criteria when buying property. I.e buying Below Market Value and Positive Cash flow Property. You might just be looking to buy your first home, in which case why should you be paying R650 000 for a property which we can help you get for R300 000?

If the above interests you, please feel free to have a read on our website, www.Elite-Property-Investments.com and sign up in order to get these great property bargains emailed to you daily.
I constantly have flu like symptoms and feel like a train has hit me...now I have a chest that is hurting...all due to my kidneys not doing to well...

I am seeing the Urologist tomorrow morning and will see what the next step is, but he did suggest a operation to remove the stones, and then putting me on treatment which will prevent them from forming again...what a pain...
Anyhow, please keep me in your thoughts for tomorrow that the best solution would be found, be it an op...

1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.

2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.

3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.

4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminium to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.

5. Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!

6. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!

7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explorers for quick meals to thwart off starvation.

8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.

9. Out of Q20 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!

10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber will react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown to reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.

11. Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemcials will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.

12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but is won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean.

13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!

How do you all feel about flavoured water?

Adon hates drinking normal water (he spits it out as soon as he tastes it)...but he'll drink still flavoured water from the (water) bottle (don't give it to him in a cup)...

With the constipation issues we had this weekend, we're trying to get him to drink more water...even if it is the flavoured ones...for now!!!

Good morning everyone,

So Adon has been "sick" since Friday night....

Friday: Adon complained about a sore tummy throughout the night and cried hysterically.

Saturday: during the day he was fine...the evening he started moaning and groaning (but i just thought he was tired and didn't wanna sleep). At bedtime he started complaining that his mouth was sore...we tried to look inside, but he wouldn't let us, and when we were able to look, we couldn't see anything...and still he was complaining of a sore tummy and crying hysterically. We eventually went to get something at the pharmacy (sometime after 21h00) - the pharmacist told us to get him to a dr as soon as we can, because if they complain of a sore mouth and tummy together it usually means tonsillitis. So we figured that seeing that we're in the area, we might as well take him to the ER. The dr examined him and came to the conclusion that his mouth is raw due to his molars pushing through...while she felt his tummy etc, he opened his mouth, and i had a look and saw something whitish under his tongue - i asked her to have a look and we saw that he bit a chunk out of his tongue (that's why he said his mouth was sore)...she also said that he is extremely constipated...I told her that our GP suggested that we give him 1Tblspn of Laxette everyday, but i had stopped giving it last Wednesday. She then told me that Laxette is a bit "heavy" for a child and gave us a script got Pegicol which is alot milder...she said if the Pegicol didn't work within a week, i'll have to stick to the Laxette.

Saturday night Adon was restless as usual and crying whole night.

Sunday: he was miserable whole day and crying and clingy...during the night/early hours of Monday morning i felt that he was a bit feverish...and still crying etc...so i stayed home with him yesterday...he was still a bit miserable and clingy though...

he hadn't had a poo in like 4 or 5 days...so i'm guesing that's what's been making him restless...then this morning as we're about to leave the house i hear this sound and knew it was a wet one...lol...i'm just happy that it came out though
